Once again, our medical professionals are being forced to participate in procedures that they disagree with. The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has issued a new rule that forces doctors, nurses, and pharmacists to participate in controversial measures such as abortions, transgender surgeries, and dispensing abortion-inducing drugs.

In 2017, Trump issued an executive order establishing the White House Faith and Opportunity Initiative which elevated the voices of faith-based groups. Those groups recommended policies that would protect religious liberty, one of which protected the conscience rights of medical professionals. The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) eventually strengthened the ability of nurses, doctors, and pharmacists to refuse services that violate their moral beliefs. In 2018, the HHS Office of Civil Rights set up a new division to assist providers of faith in reporting civil rights violations. It was widely successful in defending the religious liberty rights of those in the medical profession. However, Biden’s HHS rule dismantles much of this progress.

Who Calls the Shots on Your Life

Grace Schara’s life ended in late 2021 in a Covid hospital in Wisconsin. Her doctor had issued a Do Not Resuscitate (DNR) order, so hospital staff did not revive her as her life ebbed away. But her family claims the DNR violated state law, as they knew nothing about it and tried desperately and unsuccessfully to rescind it before her death.

Read about Grace’s story here.

After conducting an investigation, the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional services, the agency charged with ensuring public safety, ruled that state laws governing DNR do not apply to physicians in non-emergency hospital settings.

Twice-daily zinc for 15 days led to a significant reduction in death rate among people with COVID-19. It also reduced hospital stays and duration of symptoms.

  • Patients who tested positive for COVID-19 — including 190 outpatients and 280 hospitalized patients — received either oral zinc or a placebo twice daily for 15 days
  • Those taking zinc had a nearly 40% lower rate of death and admission to the intensive care unit (ICU)
  • Those in the zinc group had, on average, a 3.5-day shorter hospital stay while their symptoms resolved 1.9 days sooner than those who received a placebo
  • Research published in 2020 demonstrated that zinc is crucial to immune system function and deficiency can raise your risk of severe COVID-19 illness
  • Zinc has antiviral properties and acts as an immunomodulator; it also inhibits RNA synthesis and viral replication, while deficiency is associated with reduced natural killer cell function

It’s estimated that 1 in 3 Americans is deficient in at least 10 minerals, zinc included.1 Not only does this put them at risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease and diabetes,2 but it may increase risk of death or a hospital stay from COVID-19 if you’re infected.3

Board Certified Obstetrician cries STOP

Dr. Thorp, the author of this essay, reached out to me yesterday with an apology. The version he had sent me for publication was actually a draft (his mistake). He asked if I could insert the final version in lieu of what he had sent me. When I reviewed the document, I soon realized that the newer version had a lot more data - including a series of graphs and tables as well as more references. It is almost twice as long as the original. This version is richly populated with more facts and statistics, although the conclusions remain the same. Therefore, rather than just editing the article, I have decided to republish it.

MURRIETA, Calif. -- Advocates for Faith & Freedom has secured a six-figure settlement award this week for a group of Goleta Water District employees who were subjected to a discriminatory vaccine policy.

On June 1, 2022, Plaintiffs filed a lawsuit against Goleta Water District and several government officials after they were provided with religious exemptions against the vaccine and were given one of two unreasonable choices: take an unpaid leave of absence, or pay for bi-weekly COVID-19 tests, which could cost up to $800 a month. Unvaccinated employees were also restricted from entering certain buildings and were required to wear an N95 mask.

Prices Rise but Cannabis is Cheap

"Legalize and tax it" is the theory behind the social acceptance of vice, including gambling and drugs. Since "people are going to do it anyway," according to the theory, then government should take its cut of the money.

There are two fallacies to this theory:
